An Update from our President and CEO

Although our office closure was necessary to help slow the spread of the virus, we sure have missed seeing you!
Beginning Monday May 11th, we are excited to expand our services somewhat to start getting back to as close to normal as possible but we still need to be very diligent and consider both your and our safety. To that end we will begin to expand our services as follows of course with extremely strict sanitization practices:
  • Our lobbies will be open by appointment only. Please call to let us know when you arrive for your appointment and someone will let you in the building.
  • We require that a minimum distance of six feet be adhered to.
  • Bill payments will continue to be made through drive-thru windows.
  • We request that all customers wear a mask when entering the building.
We will continue to monitor the situation locally, as it pertains to additionally altering this schedule. Be sure to stay up-to-date by visiting our COVID-19 Information Page and following us on social media.
Also if you find yourself in a position to be able to do so, please consider joining our Round Up Program to help our community members in need. If you sign up, each month we will round up your gas bill to the nearest dollar amount and donate the rounded up amount to ADFAC’s Project SAFE. You can find the sign up form here.
We cannot wait until we can freely open our doors and welcome you in but will do that only when it is safe to do so, and we have all PPE precautions in place, again for the safety of all.
Sincerely,
Sue Kristjansson

Please beware of scams!

Recently we had a commercial customer notify us they were contacted by someone claiming to be ORUD and demanding a large payment to avoid disconnection. Unfortunately, the scam artists have not taken a break during this time. Please be aware! We can assure you that ORUD will never contact you from a 1-800 number and will not ask for payment over the phone. We have an automated phone payment system for your safety. You can always access your balance information by calling 865-220-6600 or logging in your customer account at orud.org. We are here for you if you have questions when accessing or navigating your account information. More information available at www.cisa.gov/coronavirus.
